Reformation Parish

Worship

Feasting in gathered assembly each Lord's Day through Word and Sacrament.

The Lord’s Day

God has declared that all members of his body are to congregate together in local assemblies for regular worship on the Lord’s Day. Every Sunday, Reformation Parish gathers to worship the Triune God through Word and Sacrament at Eastside Elementary School every Sunday at 10:30 AM.
1225 Eastside School Rd, Senoia, GA 30276

Check the church center calendar for up-to-date information. Visitors are warmly welcome.

What to Expect

Much like we refresh our bodies with food, our service is organized to renew covenant with the Lord after the patterns of worship established in Scripture. He draws us in, cleans us up, helps us see, brings us into rest with feasting, and commissions us into His purposes for us in the world. All worship is an ascent—Heaven meeting Earth—and thus, we “lift our hearts to the Lord” as we climb the hill to dine with Him.

Call

The Lord Calls Us Into His Presence
The Lord calls the congregation to worship from His Word.

Confession

The Lord Cleanses And Restores Us
The Lord cleans us up so that we are fit to enter into His presence as we confess our sins before him.

Consecration

The Lord Accepts Us Into His Presence and Teaches Us

  • We read multiple portions of Scripture, followed by expository preaching.
  • We confess our faith together.
  • We pray for the Church and the world.
  • We offer tithes before God.

Communion

The Lord Communes With Us
We joyfully dine with the Lord at His table as He welcomes us into Sabbath rest.

Commission

The Lord Blesses Us and Sends Us
The minister pronounces God’s blessing on the congregation as they are sent into the week.

The Sacraments

Baptism. Baptism with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is a sign and seal of the covenant of grace — a sign of one’s engrafting into Christ to walk in newness of life. We baptize both professing believers and the children of believing parents into membership in the covenant community.

The Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper is a covenant meal in which Christ feeds his people and renews the promises of the gospel. We practice weekly communion and welcome all baptized covenant members, including baptized children who are able to eat and drink.

Children in Worship

We believe children belong in the assembly of God’s people. Families are encouraged to bring their children into worship. Children learn to worship by participating in the liturgy, hearing the Word preached, and receiving the Lord’s Supper with the covenant community.

Dress

Come as you are. Many of our members dress in their “Sunday best” as an act of reverence.
